Why flame proof?

Due to their wide range of properties and the high degree of versatility, polyurethane foams are widely being used in insulation. However due to its structure they are highly flammable. Thus, alongside the physical characteristics necessary for the specific application, fire protection requirements also have to be fulfilled.
